Maravedis is a new loudspeaker project from Norfolk, UK, making its first public appearance at the North West Audio Show. Built around 50cm wooden gramophone-style horns, open-baffle midrange and push-push sealed bass, it combines the physical presence of large-format horn loading with modern digital control and multi-amplification in a carefully integrated three-way system.
Designed to complement a domestic sitting room, Maravedis is intended for serious listeners who value scale, immediacy and presence. Optimised for BACCH DSP and room correction, the system can produce a spectacular three-dimensional acoustic image, bringing together traditional horn architecture and contemporary signal processing in a form made for real homes, real rooms and long, thrilling listening.
